Well friends,

Our time here in Ghana is coming to a close. Today we are packing, resting and preparing for our travels to Togo tomorrow.

We will be staying in Lomé, Togo and partnering with team Talitha Koum. Our ministry will include children’s ministry, youth ministry, prison ministry, and women’s ministry.

While my team will be with team TK, the other three teams on our squad will also be in Lomé. It will be nice having the whole squad in the same city for the first time on our race.

As we head into Togo we need your prayers. Pray for God to prepare the hearts of those we will be ministering to, pray for team & squad unity as we head into this next month, pray for travels to go smoothly and most importantly this month we will need prayers for protection.

Benin and Togo are the point of origin for Voodoo and the practice has a strong presence in Lomé.  In light of this, we are anticipating the possiblility of heavy spiritual warfare. Please be in prayer for my team and I as we head into this next country and our last month in Africa.

As we head into this however we do not do so from a place of fear. We know that we are fighting a battle that has already been won. Christ has all power and authority and as children of the King we too have access to this authority (Matthew 28:18-20).

Psalm 91:9-13 says:

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place- the Most High who is my refuge – no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

We walk in confident assurance that when we abide in the Lord he covers us in protection. He sends angels to walk alongside of us and keep us from harm.

Thank you all so much for all of your prayers and support. I will be posting a few more blogs and stories from month two so keep your eyes out.

Once again I don’t know how much access we will have to WiFi in Togo but I will continue to send updates as I can.

Much Love,

Hattie

  1. This month I will wear one of the wristbands we received from the launch to remind me to constantly pray Psalm 91 over you and your team until you leave Togo.
